About Elizabeth Ingalls

Dog Training • Elizabeth Ingalls • Enfield, Connecticut 06082

Elizabeth BS, CDBC, L-FDM, has been involved in canine welfare, in a variety of roles, for over 20 years. From being a rescue volunteer with multiple rescues and shelters, to Executive Director of Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, to behavior consultant, her desire has always been to improve the lives of dogs. Utilizing only humane, evidence-based methods for all cases, Elizabeth is committed to upholding the practices put forth by the AVSAB (American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior). Regardless of the challenges your dog might face, you can rely on Elizabeth teaching you methods that improve and maintain the human-dog bond.

She is fully credentialed as a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) through the IAABC. The internationally recognized IAABC Certified designation represents the pinnacle of achievement for animal behavior consultants. This credential indicates multiple years of experience and the ability to tackle challenging, complex cases.

Elizabeth is considered an expert in her field when it comes to livestock guardian dog breeds (LGD), particularly Great Pyrenees. Over the last decade, this breed group has found themselves in rescue and non-working homes. This has created a need for a behavior consultant who understands their guardian personalities and motivations. Elizabeth currently works for several national rescue groups, including National Great Pyrenees Rescue, assisting with un-owned dogs who face behavioral challenges. Elizabeth is the founder and expert moderator in the Great Pyrenees Training that Works Facebook Group.

Named the #1 aggressive dog trainer and #1 remote/online dog trainer in the United States, and the #1 dog trainer in CT and Hartford County in 2023 and 2024*, she works with all breeds and ages of dogs, and a vast majority of her work focus on dogs who are struggling with aggression or anxiety.

Elizabeth is also a Licensed Family Dog Mediator (L-FDM) and a member of the shelter division. Completing the LEGS, Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation course, Elizabeth’s focus is less about “fixing” a dog and more about ensuring all dogs have the skills needed to succeed in the modern, human centered world.

Her goal is to help clients approach dog training and behavior modification holistically. By taking into account your dog’s unique life experiences, breed, and mindset, each training plan is individualized. Whether in-person or online, you and Elizabeth will work together, using positive reinforcement, to facilitate lasting changes in behavior that result in a fulfilling relationship between you and your dog.

Elizabeth is a graduate of the Aggression in Dogs Master Course by Michael Shikashio.

She completed an intensive international mentorship with Hannah Sadgrove and Taz Nicholls founders of Thinkdog NZ.

She graduated, with honors, from Bay Path University with a degree in Biology

I can’t say enough good things about Elizabeth! She has been an absolute game-changer for my reactive Great Pyrenees. Thanks to her patience, expertise, and personalized approach, my dog has become so much more comfortable and confident in our suburban environment. The progress has been incredible—not just in how my dog reacts to everyday situations, but even family and friends have noticed the huge difference!

What sets Elizabeth apart is how easy she makes everything to understand. She provides simple yet effective homework that builds on my dog’s progress at his own pace. She has also taught me how to be a better partner for my dog, which has made all the difference. Now, when my dog is faced with triggers, he makes positive choices on his own.

If you’re looking for a skilled, compassionate trainer who truly sets both dogs and their owners up for success, I highly recommend her!
